Terms of Service

Last updated August 25, 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of whozta.dev, the Whozta API, and the Whozta MCP server (the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Services for an organization, you represent that you can bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Accounts and access

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials and API keys confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account and must notify us promptly if you believe it has been compromised. We may suspend or restrict access to protect the Services, our users, or third parties.

3. Using the Services

Subject to these Terms and any applicable plan limits, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services for your internal business purposes. You may not use the Services to:

  • break the law or violate another person's rights;
  • harass, stalk, discriminate against, or harm people;
  • make high-impact decisions about a person without required human review or legal authorization;
  • send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or deceptive content;
  • probe, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass limits on the Services; or
  • build a competing database or service from the results.

You are responsible for reviewing results and using them in accordance with applicable privacy, employment, marketing, and data-protection laws.

4. Your data and search results

You retain your rights in data you submit to the Services. You grant Whozta the limited rights needed to host, process, and display that data to provide and secure the Services. You are responsible for ensuring that your submissions and instructions are lawful and do not infringe another person's rights.

Search results are generated from sources that may change or contain errors. They are provided for informational purposes and are not a guarantee of identity, employment, contactability, or accuracy. You should independently verify important results before acting on them.

5. Plans, usage, and payment

Some features require a paid plan. You agree to pay the fees shown for your plan and any applicable taxes. Usage limits, overage charges, renewal terms, and cancellation rights are described at checkout or in your order details. We may change pricing for a future billing period by giving reasonable notice.

6. Ownership and feedback

Whozta and its licensors own the Services, including their software, design, documentation, and branding. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you. If you provide suggestions or feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or compensation.

7. Confidentiality and privacy

Each party will protect the other party's non-public information using reasonable care and will use it only to perform under these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WHOZTA DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND AND WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL. WHOZTA'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE FEES YOU PAID TO WHOZTA FOR THE SERVICES IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

9. Termination and changes

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create risk for the Services or others, or where required by law. On termination, provisions that should reasonably survive will remain in effect. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
